These 5mm lugs grip gravel paths surprisingly well, so I feel stable on loose dirt where my old shoes would slide. The cushioning is firm but comfortable for a few miles around the park, and the upper doesn't feel too stiff. Exactly what I needed for mixed-surface runs.
