The 5 stripes on the side are exactly what I remember from my own childhood shoes, and the 3-piece toe gives them a nice classic shape. My toddler fits into them perfectly right out of the box.

The leather upper on these is already looking scuffed after just a few weeks of normal wear, but the 3-piece toe holds up well against all the crawling and scooting. They’re easy to get on a wiggly toddler, which is a definite win.
